I wear my shoes till they fall apart. I just don't see the need of wasting 100$ every 3-4 months like i see others do. But, I noticed during the later part of my shoes life cycles it freaks normies out. Had a simi friend(no friends now) say to me once that their family thought i was poor. same with a few black female coworkers lol. anyways explain the shoe thing because i don't get it!

I don't get it to. My mother usually throw away my shoes after few years, and I'm pissed but then she feels bad and give me money to buy new ones. I usually take care of my shoes, I clean them from time to time etc, but if you buy good ones, they are almost industructible. Shoes to me are very important when it comes to comfort, and how I feel in them. I mean uncomfortable shirt is one thing, but uncomfortable shoes gonna make your feet and toes hurt or even damage.
But I'm completely stunned why for normies it's so important. How it's "you can tell how rich someone is looking on his/her shoes", how it's most important part of your clothes. I don't get it. I like comfy, sturdy ones so I don't have to worry when weather is shit

I used to be a sneakerhead when I was younger. It's more of a metro thing, so being in NYC people are obsessed. I don't care about them anymore. Dressing up and all that is a cope.
