Why do landwhales get so fat in the first place if they are so sensitive over their weight?

I don't understand.

No one is forcing them to eat like a pig everyday. Getting offended over being fat is like getting offended over wearing a red t shirt. Don't like it when ppl poke fun of you for wearing a red shirt, simply stop wearing it. Its not like race/skin color, place of birth etc. where its uncontrollable.
