Its usually a kids fantasy to live to a hundred years old. But the older you get, the more you realise the quality of life is a lot more important the the quantity. For most people there isnt a real reason to live beyond 40, your health gets worse slowly year by year, you will become more and more dependent on medication and your libido also gets weaker with every year. Is the fear of death/non existence really the only reason why people want to extend their lifespan as much as possible ? 99% of old people just rot alone in their home, have to visit doctors every week, are dependent on a bunch of medications and are just waiting for death, since nobody cares about them anymore and they usually dont have a lot of friends, if any at all.

I'm not even 25 and i want to die

Its a survival input. Its why we fear death.

Neanderthals on average lived up only to 40 years, thats how the natural order is supposed to be

From a primal POV we reached more than half of our life expectancy and failed to breed, of course we are gonna be depressed and want to die

yes and no. Sex is pretty much the only point in life
and when it goes away, maybe we can find something else to live for. something we can actually have.

They love the sins of the flesh, but they fear God's judgment. Or they fear ending up in complete nothingness because today's common worldview is materialistic and devoid of any spirituality.

A healthy 65 year old does not have it that bad if they save up a lot.

You have 0 work to do as long as you are retired and lots of money to use as long as you saved up. Imagine no work and you get to travel a lot.

Health is genetic and most 65 year olds arent really healthy.

I doubt its different in USA, but in my country most oldfags life from one retirement check to the next one, only very few are actually wealthy

That's a blessing from God.
By the way, as a 36-year-old, it kind of amuses me when a 21-year-old spouts such phrases. :feelskek:

I see lots of ppl in their 60s who are quite healthy. As long as you save, old age is not that bad. I am already saving what I can so that I can be wealthy when I get old.

Its not a bad life being old as long as you take good care of your health and have a good amount of money. Don't have to worry about work or anything else.

Sounds as if you are being overly pessimistic.

Good for you i guess, i know enough boomers who arent healthy and here old people sometimes even steal food because they dont get enough retirement money.

And yes i am a very pessimistic person, at least that way its hard to get disappointed

Where do you live?

When life is good you wanna experience more :feelscry:

My guess is the inate fear of death and wanting to live as much as possible to experience everything good.
