I guess it abstractly signals bad genes? Technically so many facial features considered attractive have no evolutionary benefit, being tall means you’re more physically imposing and probably stronger but what does prominent cheekbones and hunter eyes help in exactly?

i think prominent cheekbones still do indicate health though, prominent cheekbones=optimal facial bones growth which would only occur if you have good genes + good upbringing without testosterone deficiency

Not really, facial bone growth doesn’t affect if your cheekbones are lowset or highset but high cheekbones are considered the most attractive

It's an indication of poor genetics, like a deformity. And we are instinctually not attracted to bad genetic traits, so we don't pass those traits to the next generation.

Unfortunately men will have sex with almost any female, even women with deformed bug eyes. So all women's bad genetic traits keep getting passed down, whereas men's bad traits get excluded to due hypergamy and inceldom.
