Blacks have low self esteem or they are more accepting this why Christianity and Islam is large in africa.
But the question is why is India a country that was colonized by Muslim and a Christian nation not Christian or Muslim. What is the root cause

@the virgin shepherd

India already had big gods religion (what the West calls "paganism") while sub-saharan Africa had only shamanism.

Also, Christianity has some Indian influences that were probably recognizable to Indians (Christianity is a mental discipline, i.e. a "yoga" in Indian terms). Hinduism is more of a religious marketplace than a single "religion". As a result, it is accustomed to competition between sects. In India, Christianity was integrated as a competitor among many. Since in India things move slowly (you need at least 1000 years to make an impression), Christianity is still a marginal player.

Furthermore, since Christianity is dying in the West, I doubt it will improve its position in India much further.

also, india was colonized relatively late compared to africa,
That is actually incorrect. India was colonized from the 1750s onwards, while there were no colonies in sub-saharan Africa before 1850 (apart from a few ports and islands). Colonizers were well aware that Africa was the shittiest continent. That is why it was colonized last.

the indian colonies were small in size, most india was ruled by the indians.
Nope. Bengal was in British hands by 1760. It is far from small. By 1800, all of India was British
british didnt directly control much of india.
They directly controlled over 50% of India by 1800. The rest was administered by "princely states" that were mere puppets of the British adminstrators. Their degree of control was strong from the start and it only increased as time went by. For example, after the rebellion of 1857 and the switch to direct Crown control, the British hold over India became even stronger. From the start, British firms were doing business all over India. They had no territorial restraints.
so thats a big difference.
I do not get where you see that difference, tbh
