Democrats say college should be free for students, but I don't agree. It's sometimes said colleges are liberal factories. That might be true. What we know for certain is that college students tend to be young and young people are more likely to be Democrats. Why should we help out our political opponents? Some students study straight up women's studies and African American studies - they are brainwashed into liberalism. We should get rid of pell grants, which are financial aid to undergraduates that they don't need to pay back. It's even worse because of affirmative action which means more minorities are accepted to universities(they vote Democrat) and less Whites(which are more likely to be Republican) are accepted.
Also there's more female than male college students. So college financial aid again benefits a group that is less likely to vote Republican. College is supposed to help you get a job. Women aren't even supposed to work. It's also sometimes said that education reduces women's fertility.
A writer at The American Conservative says a Republican former governor froze tuition. That might be okayp. A rare solution by a conservative to student loan debt says to "relieve each new parent of $5,000 of federal student loan debt for each child born within their marriage." It's not that bad of an idea, but it discriminates against those who didn't go to college. I also think pro-natalist incentives should be bigger.
Lori Alexander says women with student loan debt are unattractive, but I disagree. Women are supposed to be damsels in distress. Debt can make women want to marry a richer man who will help them through their indebtedness.
