Serious Why are tv shows so gay now?

I was watching The Last Of Us on HBO and one of my favorite characters from the original game is gay, there's even gay sex scenes so it completely ruined that character for me.
Also I started watching the Chucky series because I want to see chucky brutally murdering foids in gta and the main character is gay
