The site includes a lot of fandoms. from video games, movies, TV series, personalities, drugs, there is a subreddit for everything and generally its soys who have these hobbies and interests so they flock over to these subs and then just flooded the entire site and unfortunately beyond that. Even in 2015 being a socially awkward loser who cant talk to girls was considered a reddit thing only.

Network effect. Soys were overrepresented in reddit.com in the first place, they create and post soyish content and soyish subreddits, which in turn attract more soys. Cycle repeats until soys drive out all other content.
