Seems that lately either on videogames, movies or manga the industry is full of leaks with scripts, shorts or even the whole thing being known publicly before the release date. Some examples come to mind like then The Last of Us 2 ending was leaked in 2020, the huge anime leak this summer which affected various shows or most recently both Joker 2 and Minecraft movie plots (including the ending) were leaked. Hell even One Piece manga is leaked pretty much every week with chapters being available before Sunday.
You'd think that companies would have measures to prevent this because leaks mean less revenue (people will watch the free pirate leaked movie instead of going to the cinema or some if they know the ending they won't even bother) but they don't see to care because it's so common. I have a theory that this is just zoomers with low attention span and no tolerance for waiting for the actual release date. So that's why they love leaks to experience it NOW even if it's in worse quality kek.
