Excalibur is the only reference that I recognize, and I always thought he would probably get along with humble guys like Mifune or Shinigami.

The only people who lacked patience for Excalibur were immature children. Excalibur is an adult weapon that children probably aren't willing to wield, and him being an irritating guy to the point where they'll let the world burn to avoid being in his presence just shows they wouldn't wield him responsible anyway.
