Since a few years ago I just look away whenever I see my reflection on a mirror or my phone, photos, whatever.
I think the reason is that I don't want to recognize that I'm aging, nothing wrong with aging but it hurts to know that those are empty years, years that have left you nothing, years of solitude, years full of actions that at the end of the day don't really matter, like, what contribution do you make to the world by masturbating, watching tv or sharing pictures of frogs? and the worst part is that changing for the better can only get you so far if your genes are awful, if you're an introvert and people always look at you with a serious face, what can you do to change that? nothing, you're fucked and denying it only makes it sadder. Life is only viable for the strong, for the well made and well raised people, by nature's standards we're not even supposed to exist. It's truly over
