Tall Chads tend to love it, as it gives them a huge height and frame advantage over manlets, not to mention that at a certain point you stop needing skill; look at the percentage of people in the US 7 feet or over in the US who are in the NBA... 
Even if they aren't very athletic, their height will get them noticed by coaches or recruiters who attempt to train them as best as they can with the advantage of their height.
