I'm gonna be frank I wrote it in a month and a half. I started back in May and finished it this week. But I didn't have any metrics like quality, proper prose or an editor holding me back. So take that into account and don't be discouraged.

Don't worry, this is more encouraging than anything. The thing holding me back the most is that I'm admittedly quite lazy when it comes to this. When I actually get to writing, my output is almost always 1k words a day, and 2k when I seriously try. But, I usually just get to the former, and then take a break for a couple of days, so being reminded of what I could get if I got really serious with this is very encouraging.
