As much as TES gameplay is janky as hell, i love esotericism and mysticism ( hehhee ) of this series i like reading TES books in general too even on seemingly trivial characteristics like cuisine of certain cultures, books on history, political fiction, magic and nature of reality or even books about tactics of Septim Empire legion

IDK, i've never been too much into lore but the speculation around Zelda's timeline was fun, before an official one came out.

I always loved Cyberpunk or Half Life's lore, the corporate conspiracies in cyberpunk and the rabbit hole it can take the player down, also how Johnny's memories are lying to the player and bear no resemblance to reality are really interesting details that you miss out on the first time playing.

As much as I hate the franchise, I thought some of the stuff that was embedded in FNAF was pretty cool, at least for its time. The games were awful though, and the fanbase was even more superstitious with their super spergy speculations.

Since you’ve already mentioned TES, Fumito Ueda’s games are also pretty lore heavy and fun to dissect. Hollow Knight also comes to mind. I was so lost by the time I’d finished the game, I didn’t really know what was going on.
