I would have preferred to live in West Germany during the Cold War than in East Germany. Genuine German nationalists/NS dissidents could operate more freely in the west than in the east. The veterans' organization of the Waffen SS was also based in the west.

The Second Reich was probably more Christian, while in the Third Reich, especially by Heinrich Himmler, the entire Nordic idol cult was unearthed and glorified. Occultism and questionable rituals at Wewelsburg Castle.
