People accidentally take a quick glance and quickly turn their heads away

People stare for a long time with a puzzled "what the fuck?" look on their faces

I’d say the first one is a better indicator

the second seems like it could possibly be confusion or shock rather than outright disgust. If someone see’s something disgusting, their first instinct will usually be to avoid it, look away from it
