I can't guarantee that a cheaper apartment will be comfortable coming from my experience of renting out a cheap unit from when I studied in Manila. The whole place was shitty and made my already shitty life as an incel even worse during those times. But that was a few years ago and Cebu is not as much of a dump as Manila so you'll find something halfway decent.

cheapest meal out there jfl for 10-15 pesos but still gross. Good thing it's more of a staple for the poorest in the impoverished areas in thr National Capital region and you probably won't see or hear of it if you got to Cebu.

500 a day for food is good. Back then in my bulking gymcel days from 2020-2021 I've bulked up from 80 to 90 kg on a budget of 250 a day on meals. Even with the fucking inflation nowadays, you can eat decently with that budget.

Cebu city is a major city and cultural hub of that country's Visayas region of islands, right smack dab in the middle of the country, and it attracts many foreigner tourists and expats alike, and these tourists mostly consist of MEN. This ranges from Chinese, Korean, and Indian students, along with tourists from those countries, but also many Westerners including Eastern Euros. In other words, as a foreigner, you're nothing special. You basically have to go out in the middle of nowhere provinces (which can be very sketchy or straight-up dangerous) in order to receive that "wow factor" of being a foreigner.

That said, If you're at least 5/10 somewhat tall, good physique, under 30 and have that Nordic/Anglo phenotype, then you can find some low or mid tier Morena (dark girls) that will probably fuck you if you spend money taking them places and buying them shit. Otherwise, I've read and heard that it's not as easy as many are lead to believe.

How do I know all of this? I spent almost 4 years doing research on this from various forums, YouTube videos, chatting with expats, and passport bros that have been there, or live in the Philippines. Overall I found that it just wasn't worth my time and money. There are so many scams and bullshit to wade though since that country is an impoverished shit-hole.

Most Western-Based employers that allow for remote work, typically don't allow for working from another country, The few employers that do, are difficult to land because those positions are highly sought after. Your only choice would be to work freelance that allows for remote work, but those jobs are typically for short-term contracts.
