Where did switch fanboys even come from?

I'm not sure why normies (Especially millennials) and women love the switch. Before the switch you didn't see these types buying either a 3ds or Wii U. They just all simultaneously spawned for switch and started praising and mindlessly consuming Nintendo games.


Honestly I wish they hadn't. Nintendo was much better before the switch went mainstream. They've only become greedier and of lower quality with the switch

Because the original switch had a huge marketing campaign around being a portable social console and a ""hybrid"" with detachable controllers. The overrated launch games and Mario odyssey also ushered in a wave of millennials who were nostalgic about their SNES/N64/Gamecube childhood.
The switch was a one trick pony that was unique to 2017 and it's not going to be repeated again. I'm going to bet S2 it's going to sell between 70 to 100 million units at best after 8 years

Exactly. Back then we could also have level headed discussions about games and what we found disappointing or good about them. Now if you criticize any first party switch game it's practically blasphemy and you'll be attacked by fanboys.

Switch can connect to tv and portable is why they bought barely any of them will recognize a 3ds console
