Suspect this is also why I'm such an underachiever. If you are socially isolated, the most real and effective source of motivation (other people's opinions, status, climbing the hierarchy) are non-existent.
I try, but people like me don't seem to exist. Maybe somewhere deep in some specific university departments there are some, but I will never get to those people anyhow.

It's not so hard especially here in Germany. People are very welcoming here, I find.

Sometimes I go on cam sites. Just to practice talking on the phone. I used to have anxiety when talking on the phone,so I use that app to help me with communicating.
