My theory is that social ostracization causes autism, not the other way around. The rise in autism is due to the increased atomization of society, so more men are lacking developmental milestones that were taken for granted previously. Such a rapid change in neurological pathways in one or two generations seems very unlikely. It is, but as much as I sympathise with anyone who has the autism death sentence (I have it too) I don't really like being around other autists tbh (i'm not a people person anyway). They're great if you have the same interests (autists are completely hobby and interests focused) but if not they can be really annoying and irritating which just acts as a reminder for how the NT (or other autists) view me. We all have annoying habbits, various forms of OCD and a need for routine which are annoying when you're sat next to someone for 8 hours a day.
