My thought: They had their chance and they blew it.
They had two decades to get a man for life with ease, and they failed to make use of it.
Young adult women can easily find their dream partner. Who doesn't make use use of this opportunity - it's their own fault. Many men don't have the opportunities that women have! For example, many men don't meet the height requirements of women.
