When I was a kid and heard that America was at war with Iraq and Afghanistan I thought these countries were actually on our border

Like I was afraid that if we drived far enough in the wrong direction there would be Muhajideen warriors there that the US army was fighting because it was an active warzone where America was at war. And I was also genuinely afraid of muslim bombing raids against my suburban boomer American town and would try to hide under cover every time I heard planes go by. Because as far as I knew we genuinely were not that far from a warzone and suburban American boomers genuinely lived their normal lifestyle but under genuine fear of attack from Saddam or the Taliban. The idea just didnt occur to me that our country was fighting multiple wars in other random places on the other end of the world that are nowhere near us

so you basically were islamophobe as a kid?

Brutal lackofeducationasakidpill.

I was exclusively scared of niggers (understandably) and their gangs when I was a kid. And the general idea of potential serial killers. I don't think I was ever afraid of towelheads overseas depsite knowing about the war. And certainly didnt believe they posed a tangible threat, much less that they were right on our doorstep.

Public schools stopped teaching geography.

Another stunning success of the public goyducation system

When did American schools ever teach geography? The majority of Americans can't even name the 6 continents or let alone point out 10 countries on a map. And many of these fucks are boomers too.
