I used to skate a bit, not great but okay. Well at the time I had a crush on this girl and in an attempt to impress her I tried to show her that I learned to do a kickflip.
Well I could do a kickflip, or well I had successfully done it a couple times by myself.
Predictably, I didn’t get enough air whilst doing said trick and somehow tripped over my board mid air and fell flat on my face, subsequently almost breaking my nose.
She laughed at me and I went home with a bloody nose and split lip and bruised ego.
