One time I went out to this dive bar downtown and saw this girl dancing alone. She made direct eye contact and started waving her hands in a "beckoning" motion. I stupidly decided to approach. No recollection of what I said but at some point she said "I'm gonna go outside". I made the mistake of saying "I'll follow you" implying I was going in the same direction. I went outside and there was a large crowd of probably a dozen or more people and I started mingling with people (guys). No idea where the woman went. Later the bartender approaches me and said "Some girl said you were following her" (as I was literally standing in one place). He basically said "I love you man but I'm gonna have to ask you to leave and the police are coming. Where's your car?"

Honestly it was the dumbest shit I've ever experienced. Just because I said the word "follow" as an ugly guy I get asked to leave when I clearly was just standing in one space talking to other males. The worst part is when I told a coworker he said "Yeah when a woman says she's going outside it means leave her alone" even though that's what I did, I just happened to also be going outside to the large crowd of people.

I never get far. Girls just say no or ignore me.

At least it's not that harsh it seems
Doesn't feel that way. It is just so dismissive. But what happened to you sounds so bad there must be so many ugly men in prison for just trying to talk to a girl.

One of my "friends" spilled the beans to a girl I found attractive back in HS (he likely heavily embellished how I felt about her, but I'll never know for sure). She ended up subtweeting about me on Twitter and made fun of my laugh, my skin condition, and social awkwardness (I'm on the autism spectrum). That was a pivotal moment for me and my misogynistic propensities

Brutal. I'm sorry man

I’ve never put myself in a situation where I can be rejected

Thanks man. This happened a long time ago (and thankfully I haven't had a rejection of this magnitude since then), but I don't think I'll ever get over completely because it showed me how callous women can be. My "friend" also ended up getting deported for domestic violence, so that was gratifying.

In high school, I asked a girl out on MSN messenger (this was in 2002) and she said no. I said why? She had no response, so I said because I'm ugly? And she said yes. It can't be any more depressing than that. Fast forward 10 years I see her behind the bar of a night club serving drinks. I looked a bit better and she was actually taken back by it. I got a shot from her and never gave her a tip, that was my only payback but atleast it was something.

Getting asked to leave is ridiculous, but the police are coming?? So brutal man sorry to hear that.

When I was at the end of high school, these 3 exchange students from Vancouver came down to Australia. It was really early in the morning and they were the only people around, so I went over and asked one of them what their name was. She completely ignored me so I said it again, then she glanced over without saying anything. I asked where are you from even though I knew, and it was just the usual 1 word reply. I tried making conversation, but I may have just been speaking to a brick wall.

I couldn't care less about that now, they were all young prostitutes.
