In reality, I had brain surgery at 14 and I noticed my face grew differently on the side where I'm missing a part of my skull. As a result, my face is very asymetrical. My left side is noticeably less developed than the right so while I don't look like a monster, I look like a Picasso painting instead. Most don't notice it since they avoid looking at my face for prolonged periods
