Any benefits to setting it up over using Tor Browser?

It's way faster. It's more trustworthy - less spook nodes - more real people. Easier i2p content searches as opposed to the blind fumbling of tor.

Plus, the more you use it the faster it gets... No need for "bridges."

Minus's, it takes a while to find network nodes. (It's not as instant of a connection.)
