What's the most skill based game You've played? I am looking for inspiration. As of late I got kinda bored of the games I used to like and suddenly found myself bored with nothing to play. I am looking for something with great replayability and high skill ceiling. Something I could easily drop 100s of hours. I tried Fromsoft games, and while I finished them, it felt like I was playing them mainly for the soundtrack. I tried a lot of roguelikes but the only one that sticked with me was FTL, and even this game is just rush for Flaks, swarm missiles or burst lasers + cloaking. Out of strategy games, the only ones I still play is CK3 and Stellaris. I hate shooters, I HATE mobas and don't play mmo since the guild I was part of in ESO got foid-ridden.

So, what's the most skill based game You've played? I need a new vidya to improoooove at.

Try playing games like Tekken 3 or 5 again nowadays on medium difficultly, unless you are blessed with god like gaming genes you will get shredded

Modded Assetto Corsa

Counter Strike

R6 Siege for sure, I haven't played in years but when I stopped I was like level 250ish and still would get dunked on lol, when you think about it in that way honestly Dark souls isn't even that hard since you can beat the game fairly easily once you master the movement and know where the good gear is.

Dota 2 and online poker. Both are heavy skill games which take years to get good at.

Tetris

Pacman, at the arcade that shit goes hard

Souls likes and Starcraft i think.

Wolfenstein on mein leben

AoE2 probably

Tekken. You dont realize how much you suck at it til you play online.

listen to a tekken tuber or streamer like mainmainswe explaining their gameplay or something. Its a completely alien language. But thats what it takes to really be good at it. The game becomes a math class

Iinsurgency sandstorm multi-player (no bots)

Attack on Titan Tribute Game
the skills that some mfs have in this game is insane

blasphemous, be careful it's gameplay is more autistic and rage inducing than the entirety of soulsbourne genre, but it has a based protag and based lore with unmatched dialogue tbhngl
