Where do you struggle?
Building the desktop altogether?
Or..
Getting into BIOS, OS installation, overclocking etcetc.. ?

My favorite OS is Windows XP SP3.

Assembling the hardware, I don't know shit about pc components

why xp fav? win7?

The motherboard looks hard enough to kill a human

last overclocked in vista days

never had the opportunity on assembling one, maybe it's easy or I'm retarded
just get basic shit down like anti static and dont force parts into place or bend putting in slots. double check part list that all match right i havent built in years though

picking the right components

i wont go into debate.
but it goes like this for me:.
winxp >>>>>> win10 1709 x64 >>>>>> win2000 >>>>> win98

Every other Microsoft OS sucks dick.
i never liked 7 or vista.

They used to be all ATX size and tall cases.
a retard could do it ask me how i know
it comes with experience, the first times do suck.
Cable assembly specially.

You do need some courage first to attempt it, and a pc building magazine as emotional insurance, most videos on the internet unironically suck.
picking the right components
This is the easy part for me, its called doing a research and looking in forums aswell for good combinations.
i built my second windows xp sp3 this way.

Vista was absolute dogshit, thats why 7 was necessary in 2009.
Many kept Windows XP for years. ( the smart ones )

Jeets began their invasion on Macroshat since late 2008. Yes, they had meddling with Vista.

Windows XP SP3 is the last white man's product from Microsoft.

i stopped at GTX 1080 Ti.
i dont require their hardware past this point.
Most of the games i play get by just fine.

Plugging LED connectors is such a mess every time.

Always store your shit in a Toshiba HDD.
Dont delete it.
Without the internet, you are fucked.

If the spec combination intermingles well, you wont be exposed to bugs that often.

It largely depends on this, and the drivers.

Both of my machines with Windows XP in them have barely any faults.
Even the SSD one.
Some games do work best on HDD in some cases for much older games like AOE Rise Of Rome Expansion and the like where it is sensitive to weird shit.
And the offline pirate bay where i keep an intact bloatware free Windows 10 1709 x64 - https://archive.org/details/Win10v1709ENU Home Edition - it is a modern successor in every way, but it has to stay offline. I did everything manually and with a flash drive.
i do have a Bluray player btw even the XP has it.
Only the very first computer of mine still holds a standard DVD player of the time. ( still working.. )

The internet is the main fault for bugs, in my estimate, even when you have a solid build on Desk.
