Legally defending a criminal or falsely prosecuting an innocent?
Or in other words is it better to let evil go unpunished by being lax or falsely accuse by being strict? And before you get all smart with me, assume that the criminal is a bad evil person and isn't just 'misunderstood teehee' and you aren't getting paid for it. No, you cannot drop the case.

This might sound weird but going off of the titles phrasing I think defending a criminal comes off more cucked but I would still say that prosecuting an innocent is more morally bad. Might change my answer based off this

Would you say that prosecuting an innocent is fun insofar as that innocent dude is "bad" in other ways (for example, made some dude from his past suicidal, or he regularly takes advantage from others etc), though?

Even if I'm not getting paid one could benefit me more than the other. I would make a selfish decision because deep down I don't believe in 'innocence' in true sense of that word. It's eat and be eaten world.
