So I tried this new product I saw in the store. Beard facial cream. Supposed to be like nair but for the face. Left it on my face for 8 minutes. Started burning after 2 but I thought, It must be working!

So i left it on. Burned my face quite bad. Took 2 weeks to heal. Hurt to chew. Neck bleeding. Lesson learned. I read good reviews so I use it again. 4 minutes this time. Wrong. Still burned my face but less so this time. Took 5 days to heal. Both times my face was super dry almost peeling like a sunburn. Had to rub oil on it after shower.

This is all because Im poor (or stupid. You decide). Previously I buy disposable razors and use a pack for a few months until the razor is dull. I hate doing this because by the end my face gets so irritated and cut up due to dull razor. So i complain but im a loser so only my mom hears me. She then gets fed up about how expensive razors are and buys me a 50 pack of the most cheap ass razors but hey at least I got 50 i guess? Can use one each week if i wanted but Im watching youtube reviews and I guess I just need to make the switch to a safety razor since they last up to a year?

Just bored and wanted to make a thread about shaving. Something i despise.

I just like using a shaver and keeping some stubbles on my face sometimes

i used to use gillette razors and shaving gel until the mgtow boycott. since then i use schick razors and edge shaving gel.

These days I use an electric shaver. I used to use cheap disposable razors, but it was a hassle and I often ended up with many small cuts.

I don’t. I have a 70s porn stache and some light facial hair on the sides. Don’t bother shaving for weeks until it gets really bad

Shaving cream and a razor

I use safety razors tbh. Clean shave for it just to be single blade. It can get pricey depending on what you go with. I find feather blades to be sharp and get a real close shave at the risk of cutting your face. I liked astra blades though too they are a Russian company less sharp but overall still a good shave. The learning curve is not steep either, unless you got monkey arms where you have poor control of your strength.

gillete razor and shaving cream. although, sometimes when I can't be bothered to shave I don't use the cream and cut myself all over my jaw

I just use electric razor.

I use a Phillips electric razor, I refuse to use Gillette for anything ever again due to soy

Basically an electric trimmer/shaver. NOVA brand…

I'm actually really into razors and shaving! It's kind of an interest of mine.

I have lots of cartridge razors, some disposables, electrics, safety razors, etc.

As for what is the cheapest... hm.

Wilkinson Sword makes a safety razor that is plastic called "Classic" or something like that. It's black and you twist the top to remove it and then add a blade and that's it.

I used that thing exclusively for about a decade! Not the same exact one but they don't need replacing super often especially when you can get away with not shaving for weeks if you use them, because they can remove long stubble or even a short beard.

It's good to use half decent blades though. I like WS blades and Astra but there are lots of good ones out there.

Other than that... hm. Cartridge razors are notoriously expensive and electrics can be too. Disposables are pretty cheap but they don't last long and you need to shave frequently because they're not aggressive enough to get through longer stubble very well.

Another advantage of that WS Classic razor is that it seems significantly safer than most safety razors, so to speak. But it is a bit aggressive and wears out eventually so must be replaced.

I guess that's all I can add for now :)

I am amazed that even this can be a hobby

I can’t grow any facial hair so I never have to shave it off

Hm, I guess lots of things that are very functional can also be enjoyable, like cars, guns or computers.

Razors are just another one I suppose!

I have a short beard so I just go to the barber to get it trimmed. I don't have any shaving equipment at home.
