I used to lend stuff out at work to people. Half of them would never bring it back.
One guy who knew part of his job was filling out paperwork, but he never brought anything to write with from home. He'd just tap me on the shoulder and mime gimme your pen. So I'd give him one, and unless I chased after him before he left for the day, I'd never get it back. And he'd have the nerve to tap me again and again to demand another one.
I remember thinking, what the fuck are you doing, EATING THEM?
This clown never forgot his phone at home, cuz he was playing more with that all day than doing any work.
When I told him I had enough of his shit, he just looked at me with his stupid mouth hanging open, like I wasn't serious.
And he'd continue bugging me for stuff for months after that, no matter how many times I told him to get lost.
So he starts telling other clods in the place that if they need pens or whatnot to come and bother me.
I ended up proclaiming loudly to all of them that I'm not a free item dispenser.
The clown eventually stopped asking. And started stealing. If he saw that I was intent on what I was doing, he'd walk by close and just snatch stuff from me.
I told the boss I can't do my job if I have to keep one eye on him all the time. So the boss tells me "I'll talk to him."
Right.
Naw, that clown doubled down on hovering around me while I'm trying to work, telling me, "You can't tell me where I can stand or where I can walk."
Sometimes, he'd plug his phone charger into an outlet next to me (rather than use one where he was supposed to be working), so he had an excuse to mosey over to me with his shit-eating grin, "Gotta check my phone, ha, ha."
Like I said, this sick game went on for months before he finally got tired of it.
All this because I tried to be nice.
Where am I going with this?
Like fuck I'm ever gonna give anybody $500.
