Only ethnically. In fact most White Americans have no clue about their original culture or homeland, and if you were to ask them about their ancestry they would just respond that they're "White". The only people that know about their origins have families that have immigrated fairly recently (within the past 100 years or so) or those that take interest in studying their genealogy

Yeah, there are a shitton passenger manifests available from Ellis Island, which is where most European immigrants were funneled through until like the late 1950's, that's how i was able to find where the ancestors on my White side came from.

Even still, nearly all American Blacks can narrow their ancestry down to the people in West Africa, where most of the ports were that shipped slaves to the New World.
