Women are shit at judging their own looks due to the sheer amount of desperate guys that want sex off them. It's why you see 2/10 Whale creatures rating average looking guys as below average and refusing to date or fuck anyone but their 'idea' of a 5/10 guy (who is probably a 7/10 guy by normal standards) however because of all the cock being offered to her by betas she's convinced that she's attractive and therefore only seeks males that she thinks match up to her.
The issue comes from the fact that women fail and refuse to acknowledge their inherent advantage and are far more willing to believe that the amount of offers of sex or relationships is due to her inherent attractiveness or another quality rather than admitting that guys just have lower standards / have more realistic standards / will fuck anything / are desperate. Anything that helps her ego will be used and incorporated into her standard dating mentality, she'll suck off some 9/10 Chad then convince herself that because she did that then her looksmatch must be the literal top-tier of men so she'll rate anyone that isn't an Adonis as below average.
