What was the most addicting game you've ever played

Most addictive are grand strategy games like Civilization and Europe universalis. Secondary addictive are open world RPG like Elder scroll,fallout, etc. Least addictive are action adventure games like Spiderman,GTA,Call of duty

Yes, strategy games are definitely among the most addictive genres. I find turn based games like XCOM more addictive than grand strategy though.

for me it was Terraria, it's a never ending loop of explore => curiosity => reward and it keeps introducing so much new stuff. It's a game design philosophy that worked elegantly. It's also such a long ass game.

Hypixel skyblock was the 1 good thing in my life for a few years
