Sometimes I come across YouTube shorts such as 'Eboys vs Chico Lachowski', and I know that Francisco Lachowski is considered by many to have near perfect facial 'harmony'. It's something that can't be calculated or measured, Ratio's do indeed play a role in determining harmony, but for the most part it's something humans automatically and naturally can sense.

And now people talk about 'averageness', what the hell is that?
They say something along the lines of:
'The further you deviate from high facial averageness, the less your appeal is'.
Many say that guy's like Jordan Barrett are really high in PSL, deviate extremely from high averageness and thus have low appeal in real life, while guys like Lachowski are a bit lesser in PSL, have high averageness and Harmony and because of this are more attractive in real life to females.

I agree with this tbh most women would pick chico over barret

Cuz Chico is 1 inch tallER than Jordan

Basically how normal and non-deformed your face is, how close it is to an ideal average face.

Does phenotype also play a role?
Chico has average coloring etc and would be that typical NPC character in Sims:
Brown sidepart hair
Brown almond shaped eyes
White / light olive skintone
Symmetrical face

Likely yes, but I'm not sure whether people have looked at that.

Averageness doesn’t mean an average looking person. What it means is a face that exhibits minimal unusual features, often resulting in greater attractiveness due to its alignment with evolutionary preferences for genetic diversity and immune system strength.

Key Findings & Interpretations:

  • Averageness as a Key Factor: The core finding is that people consistently rate composite faces (created by averaging multiple individual faces) as more attractive than the individual faces themselves. This aligns with the evolutionary psychology theory of "koinophilia," which suggests humans are attracted to mates with minimally unusual appearances.
  • Potential Evolutionary Advantages:
    • Genetic Diversity: Averageness may signal a diverse gene pool, which can enhance immune system function and reduce the risk of genetic disorders.
    • Reduced Parasite Load: A more diverse gene pool can make an individual less susceptible to parasites, as parasites are less likely to have adapted to a wider range of genetic variations.
  • Implications for Plastic Surgery:
    • Objective Measurement: The study highlights the potential of using average facial features as a benchmark for evaluating aesthetic surgical outcomes. This can help surgeons objectively assess the results of their procedures and strive for more natural and aesthetically pleasing outcomes.
    • Evidence-Based Approach: By incorporating scientific research on facial attractiveness, plastic surgery can move towards a more evidence-based approach, improving patient satisfaction and overall outcomes.

Bluepillers response to this? “Oh, who cares what scientists have to say! They’re all like, ‘blah blah numbers and smart stuff,’ but who even listens to that? Who needs all their big words and lab coats? I trust my friend, a 5’2 balding Indian janitor with bulging bloodshot eyes, rotting teeth, and flesh-eating disease who dates models because of his personality, more than their fancy ideas! Who cares if they have degrees and stuff?”

Soyence is the one thing they hold as gospel, yet when there is scientific evidence that counters their view they are reluctant to accept it. It's the reason why you hardly see anybody on IT come after r/blackpillscience

I wish I was at least average :cryfeels:

He's 2 inches taller I searched it but 6'2 and 6'4 is quite a massive difference in terms of height halo

I agree barret looks like a gay alien a lot of the time
