I haven't actually tried to make a friend in a long time. Does that mean I'm a volcel? I feel like soyciety is denying me the opportunity because of the anti-intellectual bull fucking shit norms ruining my interests. I seriously hate the cultural norms and I am seriously motherfucking tired of running into them every time I try irl to find people of similar interests.

One is very obvious, if you are a virgin then you are an incel. If you are not a virgin then you are not an incel. Except that paid sex doesn't count.

The other is your looks.

Even the biggest of chads with a 10/10 bone structure will be a virgin if he literally never leaves his basement. So if somebody never even tries to ascend then he can't call himself incel.

Not sure how long of a period in between "tries" is required to maintain the designation of incel. But it's understandable to just ldar after a while I think.. I'm over 30 and after so much rejection and failure it's sometimes too much anger and sadness to even get myself to go outside and see happy couples doing couple things, let alone talk to or awkwardly try to "hit on" some foid (if I magically gained knowledge of how). I still swipe on apps and still force myself to go outside no matter how uncomfortable and how disheartening it is.

Anyway sorry for the life story. If normies are that infuriating then I don't think you can be blamed for not wanting to be around them and you'd still be incel. I don't think it's expected to constantly be trying.
