What mentally ill traits do people in your family exhibit?

My dad is aspie as fuck. There are a lot of things I could mention but occasionally he will go on a tangent about something random (usually some "geeky" interest of his) and then later recite literally the exact same tangent he went on previously with the exact same intonation and script word for word like an NPC repeating their dialogue lines. My understanding is that he just has pre-written scripts for rants about certain topics that he believes make him look smart or interesting saved in his head like a soundboard that he clicks on haphazardly. To be fair I can imagine backlogging reddit posts about quirky subjects in your brain would actually make you seem superficially intelligent and well articulated to normies. Overall though it's quite obnoxious when somebody is not only talking to you in a one sided conversation about bullshit that they overtly expect you not to meaningfully reply to or engage with but they are doing it for a second time because they forgot they already had this exact interaction with you

I like my dad and believe I exhibit similar propensities which is why I take notice of this
