I just have a laptop with 60 hz full hd display and i am very very happy with it. It's specs are potatoish but there so many people with much worse or no computer entirely so i am very grateful for what i have. I don't understand why would anyone want to have a monitor with better specifications than what i have. It's good enough for everything unless you play games professionally or competitively.

Yeah, once you start playing with high refresh rate, you really can't go back to 60hz.

I don't watch TV either; I use it as a second monitor for my PC

im still using a 1080p 144hz monitor from years ago. I've got a 4k tv downstairs that costed £1.5k and the input lag is horrific on my ps5.
