Most likely DS1, haven't played Bloodborne since it was never on pc, played a bit of DS3 while combat got improved it got too linear still it's one of the best in the series. Playing slowly through Nioh 2 and Elden Ring, dropped Steelrising in last 30% of the game since it was so shit.
First half of Nioh 2 was better than beginning of ER (with only open world) but then they dropped the ball and repeat same enemies over and over again that are stronger to kill than some of the bosses game design is pure retardness, you can't even craft higher level weapons since everything is tied to your level progression shit is a slog with almost all enemies having giga hp pool for no reason and bosses are wimps.
ER feels like a slog that is also fun but only sometimes, i'm lvl 62 and so far it's been directionless and pretty boring with few engaging and enjoyable moments, it's mostly due garbage open world that wasn't even made by the humans but the algorythms, hand crafted areas are pretty cool but are way too short, dungeons are mostly made by algorithm with just like 5 enemies, few corridors placed by ai and then boss fight in a boring box area that is always the same and a chest with single item to loot, snake boss was hilarously bad that thing was coming through the walls and ceiling all the time and they wanted you to react to it warping through just to avoid getting hit. JFL Nioh 2 had way better and also harder snake boss fight, ER fights are just pathetic. It's extremely easy to overlevel and not visit areas or fight bosses as intended level, last 3 bosses were total wimps that died in like 6-10 hits i don't even need to summon anything it's just too easy, group of common trash mobs with hyperarmor is harder to take out. I hope they will abandon open world meme and focus on semi open world like ds1/bloodborne. It's like they always go to the extreme when they want to change the formula.
