I don't know, I'm not that into food. But once, an old friend from the homeless scene and I bought a bottle of whiskey for about 40 euros. We smoked cheap cigars from the gas station with it. And we felt like real "gentlemen".

Depends. If the question is about the most expensive single dish then probably a 40€ duck roast. If the question is about the most expensive food per weight then probably Caviar. I do not remember the firm or the grade but it aught to be the most expensive thing I have eaten.

Unless saffron counts, but I doubt that it does.
