we know that women are one of the most insecure creatures and they wouldn't be able to go outside without looking at her best, but what about men?
what would cause a man to not want to go outside? his looks? looks clearly aren't important, right?

There is no equivalent. Not on a large scale anyway. Men are not as vain and shallow and fake as women. We can pretty much wake up, put on jeans and a t shirt and go out our natural selves.

for me, i at least want to not smell like shit when i go out in public.
i am fine with not showering every day, since i am just rotting at home.

But if i am going to go out, i gotta take a shower. its not rly to the same effect as fakeup tho

only example that comes to mind is hair

for instance guys that are obsessed with their hair will wear a beanie or cap or something even when it's warm, either to hide baldness, or if they have dense hair to hide that it's totally frizzed and out of control
