I'm on disability for Schizoaffective disorder and a high school dropout at 23 almost 24 years old so my future doesn't look too promising money wise. Is trying to pick up a trade worth it?

If you're a guy, there's no easy money. Almost all niches have been occupied by guys who are capable and motivated. You might as well figure out what you'd enjoy doing for work and then practice/train until you're competent at it.

real advice: get GED, see if you like physical or cognitive work more. From there choose a trade(behavioral) or degree(cognitive), also note you will have to grind very very hard in both ways. But after a few years after degree and carefully picking jobs, you can get a chill job 15-30hr/week. But again you need do your research, have a plan and back ups.
