If you're bored enough and on Reddit, you'll probably notice that if you get into an argument with someone, they'll be guaranteed to eventually go through your post history, dig up something unrelated to the argument, make fun of it and everyone will chime in to deflect away.
Why is that?
This phenomenon isn't as widespread on other platforms where the post history is visible. Such "crossposting exposure" rarely happens on here, it hardly happens on Twitter and also rarely happens on Boomerbook. However it's very common practice on Reddit.
