What is a Volcel?

Lets say there's a guy, who is freshly 30 years old, 5'0, 1/10 facially, non-NT. He's the quintessential incel. He's approached 1000 women, and gotten 1000 rejections. On his 30th birthday he has a religious revelation, and immediately becomes a devout follower of a religion.

He says to himself, "I refuse to participate in the degeneracy that surrounds me. I must steel my will and vow celibacy for the rest of my days"

Is he a volcel or incel?
Even though he self-identifies as a volcel, does he really count as a volcel or is he just an incel in deinal?

most volcels are incels in denial who don't want to be associated with incels for whatever reason.

volcel is really a meme, if you're sub8 you're going to have to put in effort no matter what.

A volcel is someone who's rejected offered sex or a relationship, for any reason. For example, if a traditional Christian reject a one-might stand offer, he is volcel.

I myself am a tradcon Christian and would reject any relations with a non virgin woman HOWEVER I have never been offered sex or a relationship with a woman. I am still an incel.

The main caveat is being offered sex or a relationship.

I think its possible to be volcel (as in genuinely not wanting relationships/sex) but it doesn't affect if you are "incel" so to speak. I think true incels get judged in non sexual interactions as well so even if an incel chooses to be volcel he will still be treated like an incel. Just like how a Chad volcel will still be treated like a Chad.
