What if ER had either escaped or was sent to prison instead? How different would things have gone down? Especially now that ER had a massive impact to a lot of us, I wonder how he would feel about that.

He would be raped in prison. Then he would have lashed out and gotten killed.
If he went to prison he would of had the same fate as NK spend the rest of his life in prison and receiving fan mail. If he escaped he would probably lay low and larp in his parent's place.
If he used his suave manners and bribery to escape, then he could have become Ted Bundy and reoffended many times.

It’s Cali, they sentence everything to death but never actually do the execution (unlike Virginia, which only sentences a handful to death but executed them all rapidly- well rapidly by American standards).
