Bipolar, paranoid psychosis (i think I'm some kind of schizo tbh) and I'm addicted to benzos but trying to taper off as of now.
Some years ago schizophrenia used to be called bread madness.
Why was it called bread Madness?
Because people became schizophrenic from eating too much bread.

Do they help? How would you feel without taking them?
I get stings in my kidneys and heart sometimes. I think I feel more numb from the antipsychotics. I'm also more thirsty. Antipsychotics are not healthy for your brain. Long term lithium use can lead to kidney or thyroid failure.
I actually dont know if they help. I'm still depressed. But it does prevent manic episodes which is nice i guess. I'm trying to get off the antipsychotics, it will probably improve my mood. I have to take lithium as part of my recovery. Also tapering off benzos right now.
I think I will be fine if I take nothing

You also rely on psychotropic pills for stability and relief, I see. I personally take a stimulant daily and two antidepressants(One of which treats my insomnia) nightly, along with an anti-anxiety pill on occasion.
Without them, I would be too depressed and sluggish to eat or clean.
