His last cipher has never been solved. Did he just die in a mundane way? suicide? His last 340 cipher is still unsolved.
so you're the zodiac killer
There are still serial killers at large today. I mean, not as popular as they once were, but they're out there.I have the highest respect for serial killers like Zodiac that are never caught. It's kind of unfortunate that as technology improves and we become a 1984 big brother surveillance society serial killers are becoming increasingly rare and almost always get caught. Mass shootings are all the rage these days but it's kinda like it takes so much less effort, like spawn camping in a FPS game.
wtf

Probably. Arthur Leigh Allen was the main suspect, but I think it was never fully proven that he was the Zodiac, maybe he wasn't.Did he just die in a mundane way?
Nobody can deny he was a genius, a criminal genius. Of course, serial killers still exist but they don't receive that much attention by the media as decades ago.I have the highest respect for serial killers like Zodiac that are never caught. Have you seen the film?Arthur Leigh Allen was the main suspect, but I think it was never fully proven that he was the Zodiac, maybe he wasn't.
Yeah I did. They imply that he might have been the real Zodiac.Have you seen the film?
Yeah, it's based off of the book by Robert Graysmith. Ever looked into the Long Island serial killer? It's a very interesting story.Yeah I did. They imply that he might have been the real Zodiac.
First time I've heard about him. Not long ago I read about the Cleveland Torso Murderer, another infamous serial killer who never got caught.Ever looked into the Long Island serial killer?
Became a politician
The freeway phantom is another VERY interesting serial killer that was never caught. I think the police even released the phone call he had one of the little girls he abducted make to her family.First time I've heard about him. Was released. He says that it wasn't him on the TV, but a fake caller. He says that he isn't afraid of dying, because the people that he killed await him as slaves in "paradice" (he liked to deliberately introduce different spellings of words and "paradice" was also used with the same spelling in previous letters). The last parts of the cypher are a mess: "I AM NOT AFRAID BECAUSE I KNOW THAT MY NEW LIFE WILL BE AN EASY ONE IN PARADICE DEATH." Ultimately, the message contains nothing new, because in previous letters he already said exactly the same shit. They should release the message if it's been cracked. Fed fags as usual take credit for everything and provide nothing of value.
I think that he stopped due to an injury, death or incarceration. He loved the fame and therefore had no interest in stopping. Other serial killers however stop when they have financially/socially more stable conditions, but for someone like him it's unlikely because he only did it for fame. But generally speaking it's a myth that serial killers don't stop. His last cipher has never been solved. Did he just die in a mundane way? suicide? His last 340 cipher is still unsolved.

I think he was exonaterated because the DNA didn't match, but the guy was also infamous for making others lick his letters - so make of that what you want.Probably. Arthur Leigh Allen was the main suspect, but I think it was never fully proven that he was the Zodiac, maybe he wasn't.
Yes. SKs got so much attention because the liberals had an initiative to push them because they were in their eyes pathognomonic for a patriarchal culture and preyed on minorities, right-wingers had an initiative to push them because they saw them as symptoms of pornography and social degeneration. Mass shootings have the same political dimension nowadays due to gun rights and the different narratives.Nobody can deny he was a genius, a criminal genius. Of course, serial killers still exist but they don't receive that much attention by the media as decades ago.
Yes, also an interesting case. The Monster of Florence also. He targeted couples and removed the genitals of the females (probably to cannibalize them). He also sent body parts to the police and he isn't caught yet.The freeway phantom is another VERY interesting serial killer that was never caught. I will look into that case. It looks interesting. The Monster of Florence

Jack Mulanax of the Vallejo Police Department subsequently wrote Allen had received an other than honorable discharge from the US Navy in 1958, and had been fired from his job as an elementary school teacher in March 1968 after allegations of sexual misconduct with students. He was generally well-regarded by those who knew him, but he was also described as fixated on young children and angry at women. He apparently never had a girlfriend or wife.
It's a lot harder to be a serial killer though. A serial killer has to dispose of bodies and make sure no evidence is left behind across multiple crime scenes, whereas a one-off murder with a gun or a drive by is probably pretty easy to get away with.its not hard to get away with murder in fact cold cases are much more common than they used to be. just do like what hannible lector did, wear a plastic body suit.
find a random target in a vulnerable area with no cameras, kill with a swift blunt hit to the head so theres no blood, bury in shallow grave. Repeat in different locations, the further away the better.
Thanks, man.Quality post @Lebensmüder
Quality thread in general. Interesting to read.
Serial killers easily get away with it when they are truckers. And also when they work in medical professions. We had a serial killer called Niels Högel with far over hundred victims in my country who worked as a nurse in a hospital and he was just put on trial a few months ago. He wanted to play a hero by bringing patients into danger and then rescuing them, but as we see with his body count he probably wasn't as competent as he thought he was.The DC snipers were onto something, they would strike from a distance and flee before anyone knew what happened.

And I thought the killer in No Country For Old Men had an interesting tactic using a silent cattle bolt instead of a gun.

I think something along these lines might be a way a serial killer could get away with it these days.
Doesn't even have to be so complicated. Intelligent serial killers are generally the serial killers who are the easiest to catch. Less intelligent serial killers take the longest time to catch, because they are unpredictable and police cannot see the patterns, it takes years longer on average to catch them.just do like what hannible lector did, wear a plastic body suit.

Repeat in different locations, the further away the better. Reason why there arent many serial killers is because its very difficult to maintain a double life for long periods of time
Hope you enjoyed it.I will look into that case. It looks interesting.
High quality post and generally an extremely good thread so far.its not hard to get away with murder in fact cold cases are much more common than they used to be. View attachment 383489
this is the full solution, they havent figured out the correct wording for it yet tho.

Interestingly in his next cipher, he mentions 'have you cracked the last cipher i sent you? My name is..."
View attachment 383494
seem to imply the previous needed to be solved in order to solve his name.
also the most likely suspect was incel so probably was this guy jfl
I like to imagine there a still a good few out there that haven't been caught and are still killing or started killing very recently.serial killers are becoming increasingly rare and almost always get caught.
The Long Island serial killer is the only one in semi recent history with a fairly high score (like 17 or so). But even he has been staying low the past 10 years probably due to the heat and and all the news coverage and movies/tv shows.I like to imagine there a still a good few out there that haven't been caught and are still killing or started killing very recently.
honestly wouldn't be surprised if in like 30-40 years when I'm old as fuck I watch a dateline episode where they detail a cold case that was recently solved of some killercel that was doing his thing while I was here posting on this Ugandan deep sea fishing form.
Yes, it's true that sometimes it's harder to catch unpredictable, disorganized serial killers more than the cold-blooded, calculated, organized serial killers. There was one unidentified serial killer in my city (A small city btw) that murdered about ten street hookers between 1989 and 1996, same M.O. always, never got caught. There's very little info about the case out there, it's crazy to think that maybe it's out there having a regular job and a "regular" life. At first they suspected that it could be german truckdriver Volcker Eckert, but the M.O. was quite different from one killer to another so probably it wasn't him acting in a different way.Intelligent serial killers are generally the serial killers who are the easiest to catch. The modus operandi is what allows the criminal to commit the crime, the signature is what truly makes up the handwriting of the perpetrator, because it's what fulfills the psychological/sexual desires of the perpetrator and reflects his inner wishes. The modus operandi can easily change because it's just means to an end while the signature remains constant most of the time. Sadly, MO/signature most of the time get used interchangeably by almost everyone and only after reading the books or getting it explained the situation becomes easier/clearer.Yes, it's true that sometimes it's harder to catch unpredictable, disorganized serial killers more than the cold-blooded, calculated, organized serial killers. As far as I know they were strangled, and then their naked bodies were dumped away from the city.So probably the victims in your city didn't have missing hair (e.g. he licked to remove the plaits as trophies) or weren't strangled - without the characteristic signature it's unlikely that he is responsible.
Gary Ridgway would be a good example of this type of behavior. He got married and stopped killing, at least for several years. Many of them stop (at least temorarily) when they enter fulfilling relationships or gain financial stability.
Ted Cruz suspected of bad intentions and being accused jokingly or not of being the Zodiac Killer just because he looks ugly to others is a brutal lookspill tbhThey already caught him. Its ted cruz
Just draw random symbols theory.
Based brocel was never caught.also the most likely suspect was incel so probably was this guy jfl
