For me i have alot of favorites, but i'd say Shoegaze, Post-rock, Black metal (DSBM), Indie rock, Post-hardcore, Folk (Both indie and psychedelic), Drone/Ambient, and dream pop. I Would also say Math rock, progressive metal, and post-punk.

Most of it is guitar based but I like a fair amount of electronic music too.

I like older music. Jazz, soul, blues, rock. I listened to a lot of metal as a kid, not so much anymore, but still like it.

I am a guitarcel. Playing guitar, or any instrument, is a good cope.

older trance, techno, progressive house

Same, any EDM made before skrillex and brostep became popular in america and ruined the EDM scene. I listen to regional, and alt rock, metal, also.

Post-hardcore, midwest emo, melodic hardcore, skate punk, metalcore, jazz rap, east coast 90s rap, grunge and deathcore. I also play a guitar.

60s vietnam era music mostly, but sometimes black metal, death metal and thrash

I listen to mostly black metal. Its my favorite genre and the one that I relate to the most. However when I am not listening to black metal, I listen to some other types of metal like some thrash, and traditional heavy metal or I will listen to classical music (baroque through to the romantic periods) etc I like some folk music. I like a little bit of post rock and shoegaze as well.

I also play electric guitar (although havn't been playing recently. I'd like to get back into it.

Was always a house fan but recently moved to classical trance (Armin and stuff) idk why, probably resembles my current mental situation.
