What game did you love as a kid but replayed as an adult and realized it was shit?

Has it ever happened to you that one day you want to replay a videogame you loved as a kid, you play it again, and after like 20 minutes you realize it’s shit?
A game I played a lot during my childhood was The Simpsons: Hit & Run. I wouldn’t say it’s shit, but it is very repetitive, mainly because of the lack of mission variety. I like the idea of playing in an open world set in The Simpsons’ locations, but aside from references to the show and some side missions, I don’t think it offers much else and it gets boring after a while.

Silent Hill 3 maybe. Liked it as a kid. Replaying it now, doesn’t really hold up.

I was seriously considering buying the ps2 copy and I was glad I didn’t after playing the ripped version on pc. It’s a nice game but def not worth the 200+ bucks.

I would have to say Resident Evil 6 on the PS3. I recently found my PS3 and a copy of the game I booted it up and gave up after like a hour it was not as fun as I remember it being.

True, I played Resident Evil 6 when I was a kid. As I grew up and started playing more games from the series, now it feels unbearable and boring to me.

fatal labyrinth for the mega drive. i remember playing that game for days on end in my room with the blinds closed when i was 9 or so, even though i could barely understand what was going on or how to play the game
tried it again when i found my old console in the closet last week and felt incredibly let down by how barebones and outdated it felt

I'd say Rugrats in Paris and sports games? Although wasn't always big on sports games, when I was a kid.

Always preferred adventure and RPG (even going into my teenaged and adult years).
