I had a phase when I thought sex havers had developed an habit of comparing men with animals, based on the way they "hunt" women, or how they behave in general.
Like for instance an ambush predator would the equivalent of a PUA : he would cut the chase and be very direct.
A pack animal like a wolf would always be surrounded by friends, rarely hunting alone and so on.
The metaphor in my mind was a bit more complicated than that but that's the gist. Anyway, in that metaphor I thought I was kind of a crocodile : I can stay a long time doing nothing, just watching my prey.
This was also suggested to me by a song my parents were listening to when I was a kid. In the song they talk about crocodiles at some point, and the meaning seemed cryptic to me until I linked it to the analogy I've just mentioned.
